Jannie Maritz

Jannie Maritz is the founder of Adlibio (Pty) Ltd, a company established in 2014 under the laws of South Africa. Jannie has extensive experience in agriculture, animal nutrition, intensive livestock production as well as the planning and management of Greenfield projects in Africa. Between 2012 and 2015 he was a director of Valadd Services (Pty) Ltd, a consulting company which he co-founded. During this period he consulted to several companies including SA Premix and Silverstreet Capital who established a Greenfield project in Tanzania, Eastern Africa.

Jannie was permanently employed by AFGRI Operations Limited (formerly known as OTK) for almost 15 years. Jannie firstly worked at AFGRI Animal Feeds from 1998 to 2008 where he oversaw the monogastric nutrition department. Jannie then accepted the position of Farms Director at AFGRI Poultry and from 2008 to 2012 he was responsible for the production of approx. 4.5 million broilers per month on 49 company-owned and contract growing farms. During this period Jannie also served on the Board of Directors of Midway Chix.

Jannie started his working career in 1996 when he joined Elanco Animal Health as a technical salesman.

Jannie holds B.Sc. Agric; B.Sc. Agric (Hons) and M.Sc. Agric degrees from the University of Pretoria.

Jannie is a professional scientist registered with The South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) and his registration number is 400002/002.
